Our client, based in Havant, who is a specialist in engineering and construction-based projects is looking for a part time Accounts Assistant to join the existing team.
This role will initially start as a part time role with 24 hours, but hours may increase in the future in line with business needs.
To be considered an industry knowledge would be preferred but not essential. You must have strong administration skills and ideally a knowledge of Xero or a similar software.
Your duties will include…
- Processing supplier invoices
- Opening any trade accounts with suppliers
- Posting receipts for credit card payment
- Reconciling credit card statements
- Reconciling supplier statements
- Adding new projects to Construction Manager and Xero
- Working with Project Coordinators with any supplier queries
- Emailing any insurance or self-billings agreements to clients
- Forwarding any emails from clients to internal departments
- Processing small payments for suppliers
- Checking clients have got enough credit insurance against projects
- Processing applications for payments to clients
- General admin duties
- Ordering of stationery
- Creating new clients or suppliers in Construction Manager
- Closing projects once complete and checking paid in full on Construction Manager.
Knowledge and skills
- Previous accounts administration experience
- Excellent computer skills, confident with Excel and accounting software – ideally Xero
- Confident communicator who works well as part of a team
- Efficient and have a great attention to details
- Previous working experience within construction or engineering type businesses would be ideal
Working hours
- Monday to Thursday – 4 days per week
- 6 hours per day – 24 hours per week
Pay rate
- £12.15 per hour
