  • 5+ years' related experience post qualification in MEICA installation, testing and commissioning, preferably in the UK water sector.
  • Valid UK driving licence
  • Engineering qualification (degree / HND / BTEC) or Apprentice accreditation's in the relevant trade.
  • 18th edition (preferable)
  • City and Guilds 2391 Test and Inspection (advantageous)
  • CSCS / ECS Gold card or looking to obtain one (preferable)
  • EUSR Clean water card (preferable)

Then this is a brief list of tasks required for the commissioning engineer role.

  • Carry out and supervise various MEICA installation, testing, commissioning and refurbishment works on existing water company sites in accordance with the project requirements and programme.
  • Work outside and on sites that convey sewage as well as drinking water and comply with the necessary hygiene standards.
  • Work on multiple projects simultaneously if required.
  • Specify job requirements and the parts / equipment / materials needed as well as compile survey reports for quotation purposes.
  • Read, understand, produce and follow risk assessments and method statements.
  • Inspect, survey, identify faults, carry out works and test MEICA systems.
  • Complete required paperwork for each project and compile reports to demonstrate installation, testing and commissioning work has been carried out successfully, accurately and timely.
  • Utilise design drawings, wiring diagrams and manufacturer's installation manuals to complete assigned projects.
  • Compliance with BS7671 requirements as well as company and client specific standards.
