Senior Practice Accountant

Location: Pembroke

Position: Full Time / Permanent

Salary: £32,500.00-£42,500.00 per year

This is a challenging, demanding and exciting role for a qualified accountant with ambitions of directorship / profit sharing / succession within a relatively short time frame.

This role includes detailed accountancy and tax work, plus interaction with prospective and existing clients.

You will be working alongside the Director to provide a high level service to clients and will assist in growing the practice and driving it forwards in a digital manner.

Duties

  • Personal tax, VAT returns, tax planning, management accounts, statutory accounts preparation and corporation tax
  • Oversee and mentor junior team members
  • Review and finalise work
  • Responsible for managing workflow and deadlines
  • Prepare financial statements and reports for clients
  • Conduct client meetings
  • Contribute to the growth and strategic direction of the practice
  • Onboard clients which includes digital training

Skills

  • Fully qualified ACA / CTA / ACCA
  • Substantial experience of working within accounting practice
  • All round competence working in a digital environment
  • Ability to utilise accounting software such as Xero, Quickbooks, and Dext to manage financial data efficiently
  • Strong commercial awareness and able to spot opportunities
  • Ability to provide mentoring and guidance to junior accountants
  • Ability to work off your own back
  • Confident developing and maintaining client relationships
  • Interpret and explain financial data to clients
