Pembrokeshire County Council is looking for a dedicated and experienced Approved Mental Health Act Practitioner (AMHP) to join our Adult Mental Health and AMHP Team. Based at Bro Cerwyn CMHT, you will be part of a dynamic and supportive team committed to delivering high-quality mental health services across the county.

  • Location: Pembrokeshire, Wales
  • Contract: Full-time, 3 months (Immediate start)
  • Rate: £37.00 per hour (Umbrella)

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct Mental Health Act Assessments (recent experience within the last five years required).
  • Respond promptly to assessments in various settings.
  • Work collaboratively to ensure efficient and effective service delivery.
  • Provide regular updates to the Service Manager and Team Manager.
  • Be flexible to work beyond standard hours when assessments extend past 17:00.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Qualified and experienced AMHP with a current AMHP warrant.
  • Registered with Social Care Wales.
  • Recent experience conducting Mental Health Act Assessments.
  • A person-centered and passionate approach to mental health care.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Willingness to travel into Pembrokeshire (travel costs reimbursed).
