Job Title: HSE Consultant (Fixed Term Contract)

Salary: 40-45k

Location: CB9 8PH or general area Haverhill

Echelon Engineers is recruiting on behalf of a leading chemical manufacturer for a Health & Safety Specialist to support their Haverhill site. This fixed-term role will focus on creating safety-critical documents, including risk assessments and management system documents, under the direction of the HSE Manager.

The site is undergoing significant development and improvement projects, and this role will play a key part in ensuring health and safety compliance. The position involves engaging with operational staff and attending operational areas to gather essential information for risk assessments.

Key Requirements:

  • NEBOSH General Certificate in Occupational Health and Safety

  • Experience in creating risk assessments and management system documents

  • Background in manufacturing environments

  • Experience in chemical manufacturing (preferred but not essential)

  • Strong communication skills to liaise with operational teams

  • Basic IT skills for documentation and reporting
