I am recruiting for a Senior Buyer to join my client based in Haverhill.  This is an urgent requirement which has an immediate start for the right candidate.  Reporting to the Head of Supply Chain, the Senior Buyer will manage the procurement, stock levels and supply chains of factored products, supplier capabilities and customer requirements.  Role Responsibilities: 
  • Ensure supplier relationships are stable and sustainable 
  • Responsible for the accurate administration of the procurement function including documentation management, ordering via MRP, pricing management, global logistics, warehousing suitability and scheduling payments and prepayments 
  • Contact transport providers and intermediaries 
  • Liaising directly with overseas suppliers 
  • Constant focus on costs and reduction opportunities 
  • Close collaboration with the Head of Product Development to assist in identifying new products and suppliers 
  • Keep up to date with Government policy changes on imports and regulations 
  • Analyse buying trends 
  • Other duties which arise to assist the successful procurement function 
Is this for you?  Requirements for the role:  The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Procurement with excellent problem solving ability.  You will need to have demonstrative previous use of ERP systems and the ability to work at multiple sites for different needs if this arises.  Formal qualifications such as CIPS would be an advantage, however not essential.  A background in construction would also be an advantage.  This is a full time role based on site in Haverhill.  Car parking is provided.  For more information, please contact Emily at Pure
