Prospero Teaching is looking for passionate and dedicated Outreach Tutors to deliver impactful 1:1 tuition to young people currently without a school placement in the London Borough of Havering.

Many of the students you'll work with have been out of formal education for a while and may be struggling with confidence. You'll play a vital role in reigniting their love for learning and helping them re-establish a structured routine.
Make a Difference in the Lives of SEN Pupils
Most students you'll support have special educational needs (SEN) and may have Education, Health, and Care Plans (EHCPs). Your experience with SEN students, especially those with autism, SEMH, or complex needs, will be crucial in this role. Tuition typically takes place at home, within areas like Hornchurch, Romford, Rainham, Collier Row, and Upminster.
Key Details:
- Location: Within the community or pupil's home in Havering.
- Position: 1:1 Outreach Tutor
- Type of Work: Flexible hours from 10 to 30 hours per week
- Start Date: ASAP
- Duration: Until the student is ready to reintegrate into school
- Contract Type: Temporary, ongoing
What We're Looking For:
- QTS or equivalent
- UK classroom teaching experience
- Creativity, patience, and an ability to think outside the box
- Experience working with SEND or disengaged pupils
Essential Requirements:
- Right to work in the UK
- Enhanced DBS certificate registered with the online update service (or willingness to apply for a new one)
- Two professional child-related references
