Location: Further Education College, West London
Position: Careers Advisor
Type: Temporary, Ongoing
Hours: 18 hours per week (Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday)
Pay: Around £20 per hour, dependent on experience
Qualifications:
- Level 6 Information, Advice & Guidance (IAG) qualification
- Alternatively, a qualification in Careers Guidance or a related area
Role Overview: We are seeking a dedicated and qualified Careers Advisor to join our team on a temporary, ongoing basis. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in supporting our students with their career planning and UCAS applications.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide expert advice and guidance to students on career options and pathways
- Assist students with UCAS applications, ensuring they meet deadlines and requirements
- Conduct one-on-one and group sessions to support students' career development
- Collaborate with academic staff to integrate career guidance into the curriculum
- Stay updated with the latest trends and requirements in higher education and employment sectors
Requirements:
- Level 6 qualification in Information, Advice & Guidance (IAG) or a related field
- Strong understanding of the UCAS application process
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Passion for helping students achieve their career goals
