We are excited to offer the opportunity for a passionate Lecturer to join our successful team at our Hayes Campus. This role involves teaching across a variety of Hospitality programmes, including VRQs/NVQs in Professional Cookery from Level 1 to Level 3, and Apprenticeship Standards - Level 2 Production Chef, Level 2 Commis Chef, and Level 3 Chef De Partie. Our section also operates a restaurant, Revisco, which is open to the general public, providing a real-world environment for learning and development.
Day-to-day of the role:- Deliver high-quality teaching in Professional Cookery across various levels, from Level 1 to Level 3.
- Engage and inspire young learners aged 16-18 through dynamic and innovative teaching methods.
- Utilise the Revisco restaurant as a practical learning environment for students.
- Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback to enhance learning outcomes.
- Participate in the development and evaluation of programmes and curricula.
- Maintain a supportive, inclusive, and effective learning environment.
- Perform related administrative duties and participate in departmental meetings.
- Qualified to Level 3 in Catering/Cookery (essential).
- Proven experience as a Chef in the Catering/Hospitality industry (essential).
- Experience in teaching within the specified subject area (essential).
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage and inspire students.
- Either possess or be willing to obtain a Level 5 teaching qualification. The college offers full financial support for this qualification over a two-year period.
