Right Now Group are currently seeking an Air Export Manager for a well-established global organisation based in Hayes. The successful candidate will be an experienced Air Export leader looking to drive the growth, manage processes adhering to CAA regulations.

Job Title: Air Export Manager

Location: Hayes

Hours: Monday-Friday

Salary: £50,000-£60,000

Key Responsibilities

  • Cultivate a culture of growth and engagement within your team by implementing Active Leadership practices.
  • Ensure the retention and expansion of key accounts in the region, identifying opportunities to add value for customers.
  • Lead customer review sessions, pinpointing areas for improvement and collaborating on continuous improvement initiatives that align with KPIs.
  • Build and sustain strong customer relationships internally and externally to secure business retention and explore growth opportunities.
  • Oversee seamless on-boarding and successful integration of new key accounts, benefiting both the customer and the company.
  • Represent the company in presentations for existing and potential clients, demonstrating value propositions and fostering partnerships.
  • Engage in industry forums as appropriate to represent and promote our organisation.
  • Oversee compliance with Customs and regulatory requirements, including CAA, ensuring all documentation is accurate and procedures are followed.
  • Maximise gross profit by selecting optimal service options.
  • Coordinate with carriers and handling agents to resolve exceptions and discrepancies swiftly and effectively.
  • Manage and track Key Performance Indicators, ensuring targets are met
  • Actively contribute to the improvement program.
  • Facilitate weekly team briefings and ensure completion of all required training.

Key Skills

  • Previous leadership experience within the freight forwarding
  • Ability to lead from the front, driving continuous improvement
  • Confident within Aviation Security
  • We will need to be able to complete Pre-employment checks. This will include a 5 year check able employment / education history, DBS check (criminal record check).
