My client is looking for a CNC Turner to join on them on a permanent basis.

As a CNC Turner you will be responsible for the manufacture of aircraft bushes to precision limits in accordance with company procedures/ OHM/ CMM/ SOPM.

Role: CNC Turner
Salary: From 32,170 plus shift allowance
Location: West London
Hours: Monday to Friday or Tuesday to Saturday (depending on business needs) 06.30 - 14.30 and 14.25 - 22.25

Main responsibilities:
* Working on two and three axis CNC lathes with Fanuc controls.
* Experience of CNC programming preferable on Fanuc controls.
* To be able to read and understand technical drawings.
* To be able to work with imperial measuring equipment.
* Manufacturing bushes, sleeves and nuts for Aircraft components e.g.:- Landing gears, flap and track systems.
* Also reworking and overhauling components for the airline industry.

Ideal candidate profile:
* Strong experience in a similar role is essential.
* Aerospace background not essential but would be preferred.
* Experience in two and three axis CNC lathes with Fanuc controls.
* Experience of CNC programming.
* Team player with proven ability to manage, lead and guidance.
* Proficient in the use of Microsoft packages.
* Excellent communications skills.
* Excellent planning, problem solving, organisation and administration skills.
* Decision maker, analysing for root causes rather than presenting the problem.
* Self-motivated with flexible approach.
* The position requires from time to time flexibility in working hours including working overtime at weekends.
* The job requires the applicant to understand manual handling.
* The position involves the use of complex machinery.
* Educated to at least GCSE level or equivalent
* Ability to communicate fluently in written and spoken English
