Teach Plus are currently working with a fantastic primary school located in Hillingdon who are seeking a Teaching Assistant to work in Year 3, supporting in the classroom.

The school is a well-resourced, supportive, 'Good' primary school with state-of-the-art facilities. They are a popular, local primary school with a fantastic reputation in the local community. There are lots of opportunities for further training and development at this school and they have a strong focus on staff wellbeing.

The role is a general support role, working in a Year 3 class, you will be supporting the class teacher with day-to-day activities and running of the classroom, working with small groups of children and delivering interventions.

As a Teaching Assistant you will be expected to:

  • Establish positive relationships with the pupils, parents, class teachers and other members of staff across the school
  • Support the class teacher with the day to day running of the classroom, planning activities and resources for the classroom
  • Deliver interventions in English, Maths, and other subjects to small groups of children

The ideal candidate for the Teaching Assistant role will have:

  • Experience working as a Teaching Assistant or a genuine desire to start a career within education
  • Enhanced DBS Certificate with the Update Service
  • Right to work in the UK
