I am seeking an experienced Deburr Operative to join my renowned production engineering client based just north of Heathrow Airport, West London.


The Deburr Operative is responsible for hand finishing components to very high standards, involving polishing to improve surface finishes and corrosion.


Role: Deburr Operative
Location: Hayes, Middlesex
Shift: Monday - Friday - 06:00 - 14:00
Salary: Up To 30,807,13


Main responsibilities:

  • Undertaking of blending damaged components, polishing to improve finishes, and corrosion removal of Aircraft components with pneumatic tooling.
  • Local NDT of components to aid dressing of ladder cracks.
  • Experience in the use of pneumatic tooling desirable.
  • Experience with different abrasive grades of flap wheels but again not essential.
  • Able to work in team environment, and able to work on own initiative to complete work tasks provided.
  • An awareness and understanding of responsibilities outlined in the Company's environmental procedures.
  • You will be required to maintain Practical Experience Record (PER) book.
  • You may be required to train personnel with a specified area subject to your qualifications and experience.
  • All duties shall be undertaken in compliance with Safety and Environmental Regulations and Company Procedures.

Essential Experience

  • Engineering apprenticeship preferred but not essential.
  • General engineering experience desirable.
  • Able to work shift (early and late shift.)
  • Previous knowledge of working with metals
  • Knowledge of using small hand tools
  • Ability to demonstrate manual dexterity
  • Reading engineering drawings is helpful but not essential

It would be beneficial for the individual to have a good knowledge of hand finishing techniques and
