We are recruiting an Airfreight Movements Advisor for our National transport and logistics company near Heathrow airport.You will be responsible for all elements of Procurement and Capacity Management activity for Special Shipments and non-General Cargo special products. Industry knowledge of Air Freight is required as well as strong negotiation skills.£30-35k per annum based on your experienceMon to FriDay shiftOffice basedLots of company benefitsTraining and progression opportunities
  • Support processes, services and market conforming to attract station and transhipment business through the gateways working in conjunction with the wider product team for Special Shipments and non-General Cargo products.
  • Preferred in depth knowledge of special products and develops new solutions and services proactively to drive business growth.
  • Support station/commercial teams with customer meetings and bespoke solution design.
  • Support positive change utilising First Choice methodologies.
  • Support to airfreight teams on processes and data management.
  • Proactively communicate UK outbound market updates to the airfreight/commercial teams.

  • Responsible for ‘Special shipments’ and non-General Cargo ‘special product’ procurement activities for the business. 
  • Support market leading procurement through close partnership and negotiation with the carriers across the team for contracted tariff business and special spot business.
  • Manages allocations for regular ‘special’ movements 
  • Works hand in hand with all station pricing teams 
  • Sets up customer or quote specific 
  • Ensure customers are profitable using data and tools to ensure consol profitability levels
  • Uses data to monitor carrier OTP and right first time billing and manages performance with the carriers.
  • Close liaison with the GSMs to ensure transition of planning from theoretical/data/commercials into physical execution and planning. 
  • Take part in regular PD sessions
  • Be an active member of the Air Product Team working with all operations teams as necessary.
  • Build and maintain effective relationships with all airfreight product and operations teams and managers.
  • Fosters close (team) working relationship with ACC, Gateway and RDM/IBDM.
  • Build and maintain effective relationships with carrier partners
  • Support training, data and guidance to the wider product organisation
  • Team player both locally and UK wide
