The Recruitment Crowd are currently recruiting on behalf of our well known and industry-leading client based in the Hayes area. We are looking for experienced Class 2 Drivers (CAT C) to join the team.
Hours: Monday to Friday, start times between 5am-9am (approximately 8-hour shifts on average) with occasional weekend availability.
Pay Rate: Monday to Friday - 拢17.35 / Saturdays/Sundays - 拢20.50 per hour PAYE)
Location: Hayes, UB3.
Job Type: Temporary to permanent.
The role:
路 Collect clinical waste from various healthcare facilities, including care homes and hospitals.
路 Prepare the small base truck for daily operations.
路 Work alongside a driver's mate who will assist with collections.
路 Utilise a compaction vehicle for waste disposal.
路 Perform local collections, wheeling bins to the back of the truck, and operating the bin pick-up mechanism.
路 Use a PDA for tracking and recording collections.
路 Depending on the volume, complete 25 to 60 collections during your shift.
路 Maintain physical fitness, as the role involves some heavy lifting.
Requirements:
路 Full UK driving licence with Class 2 entitlement (category C).
路 Have at least 1 year of proven experience driving the relevant vehicle.
路 Valid and in date DCPC and Digital Tachograph card.
路 No more than 6 points on licence (minor offences only).
路 Full understanding of WTD legislation.
路 Strong work ethic and commitment to safety.
路 Willingness to learn and adapt to our waste management processes.
路 Availability for early morning shifts and occasional weekend work.
路 Ability to work in a team and communicate effectively.
路 Physical fitness and capability to handle waste containers.
