We are seeking an ESOL Lecturer for a temporary full-time position to cover a period of sickness, with a high possibility of additional hours thereafter. This role is ideal for candidates who are flexible and interested in potential future opportunities as casual ESOL tutors for various levels.
Day-to-day of the role:- Deliver English language lessons to students ranging from Pre-Entry (E0) to Entry 3.
- Prepare engaging and effective lesson plans that cater to the needs of students at different proficiency levels.
- Assess and monitor student progress, providing feedback and support to help them achieve their learning goals.
- Adapt teaching methods and materials to meet the diverse needs and interests of students.
- Maintain accurate records of student attendance, progress, and assessments.
- Participate in staff meetings and teacher training sessions to stay updated with the latest teaching practices and standards.
- Proven experience as an ESOL Lecturer or a similar teaching role.
- Strong understanding of the curriculum and teaching methods for teaching English to speakers of other languages.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to create an inclusive and motivating learning environment.
- Flexibility to adapt to changing schedules and teaching assignments.
- Relevant teaching qualification is preferred.
