Carbon60 are proud to be partnering with Lufthansa Technik Landing Gear Services to recruit for an Electrical Preparator within the Electrics department. Lufthansa Technik are a global leading provider of maintenance, repair, and overhaul services for the civil aviation industry.This Electrical Preparator position is on a permanent basis and has become available due to continued growth and expansion. The successful candidate will contribute to the efficient and high-quality overhaul of components used in aircraft landing gear systems, ensuring compliance with industry standards.

Role Responsibilities will include:

  • Prepare and assemble electrical harnesses and sub-assemblies according to technical specifications.
  • Cut wires to precise lengths for looms, pinning, and connecting operations
  • Route sensors and switches for subcontract processing as required.
  • Conduct thorough inspections of sensors, switches, and small harnesses to ensure functionality and adherence to quality standards.
  • Identify and address defects or inconsistencies in components and assemblies.
  • Perform cleaning and basic maintenance of sensors, switches, and small harnesses to maintain optimal performance.
  • Ensure components are free from debris, corrosion, and other contaminants before final assembly or routing.
  • Maintain accurate records of work performed, including preparation steps, inspection results, and any corrective actions taken.
  • Report any issues, delays, or non-conformities to the Team Lead or relevant department.
  • Adhere to all company procedures and safety standards during preparation and assembly processes.
  • Ensure all work meets applicable aerospace industry regulations and standards.

Skills and Experience required:

  • Experience in electrical harness preparation, assembly, or inspection.
  • Familiarity with aerospace components and systems is a plus.
  • Proficiency in using hand tools, wire cutters, crimpers, and basic electrical testing equipment.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow technical instructions.
  • Good organizational skills and ability to meet deadlines.
  • Good knowledge of wiring installation techniques and equipment
  • A good understanding of SAP - (systems application and product).
  • GCSE or equivalent (Needed)
  • Degree or Equivalent in an Electrical or Engineering subject (Desirable)
  • Electrical or Engineering Apprenticeship (Desirable)

Double day shift Monday to Friday or Tuesday to Saturday (dependant on business needs).

One week of early shifts (6am to 2pm) and one week of late shifts (2pm to 10pm) alternating.
