Paint Strip Technician

I am seeking Paint Strip Technicians to join my renowned aviation industry client based just north of Heathrow Airport, West London.
The successful candidate will be responsible for paint stripping engineering components.

Role: Paint Strip Technician
Location: Hayes, Middlesex
Shift: Mon-Fri. or Tues-Sat. One week early shift (06:00-14:00), one week late shift (14:25-22:25). Overtime may be required.
Salary: From 23,446 plus shift pay.

Main Paint Strip Technician responsibilities:
* To hand degrease/machine wash commercial engineering components.
* To load and unload large degrease/paint softening tanks.
* To load and operate plastic media blast booths; internally and externally.
* To check components are clean and protected from damage in readiness for inspection.
* Operating overhead cranes.
* Occasional Lifting and pushing of heavy components.

Ideal candidate profile:
* An Engineering apprenticeship would be preferred
* Previous Paint Strip experience would be desirable
* Able to demonstrate experience of use of hand tools in an assessment
* Good knowledge, awareness and understanding of PPE and Manual Handling
* It would be preferable but not essential for the applicant to have worked in an aerospace environment
* Punctual, reliable, honest and trustworthy
* Able to follow instruction to specific working methods
* Excellent approach to Quality, Health and Safety
