Carbon60 are proud to be partnering with Lufthansa Technik Landing Gear Services to recruit for a Trainee Build Technician within the Build department. Lufthansa Technik are a global leading provider of maintenance, repair, and overhaul services for the civil aviation industry.The Trainee Build Technician role in aircraft landing gear assembly is to learn and develop the necessary skills and knowledge to assist in the assembly, installation, and testing of landing gear components.Role Responsibilities will include:

  • The assembly of mechanical components and Installation of Hydraulic and Electrical systems to aircraft

undercarriages and associated hardware.

  • Assembly being conducted in line with all OEM, legislative, and Industry requirements providing right first time, quality primary structural aircraft products.
  • Management of consumable items.
  • Ensuring the correct functioning of the quality infrastructure.
  • Inspection/duplicate inspection of completed assemblies/sub-assemblies.
  • All duties shall be undertaken in compliance with Safety and Environmental Regulations and Company

Procedures.

  • All duties being performed both on an individual basis and as part of a small team meeting tight deadlines utilising a safe methodical working practice.

Skills and Experience required:

  • Served an Aircraft related apprenticeship or equivalent with experience in a similar service industry.
  • Emphasis placed upon those applicants that have served within an EASA/FAA approved organisation.
  • Experience of Assembly of components.
  • Extensive amount of experience working in an Airline/ Aerospace related environment.
  • Able to demonstrate a detailed knowledge of the legislative and quality system requirements.
  • Good understanding of excel and word.
  • Knowledge of company health and safety practices
