As a Technical Manager, you will be responsible for the

control and development of technical standards and procedures within the facility.

This includes the agreement of the

process and specifications of all prepared products. The role includes the setting of hygiene and quality control standards,

in addition, to input into new product development and direct interface with customers.

This role is designed for individuals

seeking an applied career in end-to-end food supply chain with focus on sustained margin delivery achieved through

collaboration and relationship building with cross-functional departments

THE ROLE

  • Ensuring BRC and quality compliance throughout production
  • Management of the Quality Management System (QMS)
  • Management the HACCP system
  • Line management & training
  • Advising on relevant legislation, food safety issues, legislative, scientific and technical developments and Industry Codes of Practice
  • Co-ordinate internal and supplier audits
  • To ensure that all technical specifications for suppliers, customers and internal use, are current and logged correctly
  • Leading meetings regarding Supplier Performance Reviews
  • Identify Corrective / Preventive actions & Continuous Improvements
  • Manage Supplier approval

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE

Previous experience in a Technical Management leadership role within the Food Manufacturing industry is essential. You will have a detailed understanding of applying customer technical requirements.

Essential requirements for the role:

  • Direct experience of working with UK retailers.
  • Experience of BRC & customer/standards and audit.
  • Experience in HACCP & process management.
  • Degree level or equivalent.
  • HACCP qualified.
  • Internal and 3rd Party Auditing
