Are you a recent graduate eager to begin your career in education? If so, this role could be an ideal fit for you! An established teacher training school in Hayes is seeking a proactive and motivated teaching assistant to join their team as soon as possible. In this position, you will work closely with the class teacher to support students in their learning journey.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a high-achieving graduate to gain valuable experience in education before pursuing full qualification as a Primary Teacher. The school, located in Windsor, offers on-site parking for your convenience. As a teaching assistant, you will have the opportunity to work with students across Key Stages 1 and 2.

Candidates with a degree classified as 2:1 or higher are preferred, and previous experience with children is advantageous. Relevant experience may include roles in childcare, tutoring, nursery assistance, sports coaching, charity work, or other educational settings. However, graduates with no prior experience are also encouraged to apply!

The Primary School in Hayes is looking for enthusiastic and bright graduates who are passionate about contributing to children's education. In this role, you will support students in their literacy and numeracy development, ensuring that each child meets the learning objectives for their lessons.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Understanding of Social and Emotional Mental Health (SEMH)
  • Working with children with diverse needs, including Autism, ADHD, Down Syndrome, behavioral challenges, sensory issues, physical disabilities, and communication difficulties
  • Assisting students in developing emotional regulation and social skills
  • Demonstrating a genuine interest in working with children or in Special Educational Needs (SEN)
  • Maintaining a resilient, positive, and caring demeanor

  • Job Title: SEN Teaching Assistant

  • Salary: £83 - £95 per day (based on experience, training, qualifications, and client rate)
