Communications & Social Media Officer – 12 month Fixed Term Contract

We are looking for a passionate and dynamic individual to join a local charity who improves lives of disadvantaged communities across Ealing.

Role Overview:

As a Communication & Social Media Officer, you will play a crucial role in promoting work through various digital platforms. This is an excellent opportunity for a new graduate who is eager to learn and grow in the field of communications and social media.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop and implement social media strategies to increase our online presence.
Manage and update our website with engaging content.
Create and curate content for social media platforms (e.g., Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, LinkedIn).
Engage with our online community and respond to inquiries.
Reach out to stakeholders and build networks to support our mission.
Represent the charity at events and be the face of our organization.
Monitor and report on social media metrics and website analytics.

Qualifications:

A degree in Communications, Marketing, Public Relations, or a related field.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Familiarity with social media platforms and digital marketing tools.
Creative thinking and the ability to generate engaging content.
Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
A passion for our mission and a desire to make a difference.
Somali and other community languages are desirable but not essential.

Hours: 15hrs a week (flexible hours)

Salary: £15,600

Location: Northolt
