Summary

An all-through diverse faith school based in Hayes are seeking a qualified Teacher of English to join them from the summer term, April to July with a view of becoming permanent for the right person. This is a full-time temp position working Monday to Friday term time.

The role: Lessons are already planned, marking is involved. This school has an earlier start time of 7.45am and earlier finish time of 3pm.

The English Department instil a love for reading where students have been exposed to a wide, diverse range of text types and are able to effectively organise and express their own thoughts in an articulate manner. Led by a forward-thinking and innovative Head of Department truly making the English department a supportive and collaborative team.

The Head of School is seeking a teacher who:

  • Can deliver planned comprehensive lesson plans that align with the curriculum and schools educational standards.
  • Fosters a positive classroom atmosphere that encourages student participation and engagement.
  • Assesses and evaluates student performance through assignments, tests, and observations.
  • Provides constructive feedback to students to aid their learning and development.
  • Collaborates with colleagues to enhance the educational experience and share best practices.
  • Participates in staff meetings, professional development opportunities, and school events.
  • Maintains accurate records of student attendance and academic performance.

Skills

  • Strong command of the English language with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficiency in classroom management techniques to maintain a productive learning environment.

  • Familiarity with educational technology and digital teaching tools is advantageous.

To be successful, you must have:
