Sonic Summary

Our client is looking for a Transport Planner with a forward-thinking attitude and a salary of £30,000 to £35,000 per year.
The successful candidate will manage and plan vehicles for import collections and export deliveries while ensuring compliance with legal requirements.
Key responsibilities include effective communication with all departments, adherence to DVSA and UK legislation, and collaboration within the transport team.
Candidates should have strong communication skills, multitasking abilities, and proficiency in Transport Management systems and MS Office programs.
Flexibility in working hours is necessary as the role involves early and late shifts from Monday to Friday, with a requirement of at least 2 years of relevant experience.

Our client is seeking a Transport Planner with a forward-thinking attitude. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and planning vehicles for import collections and export deliveries, ensuring all daily collections and delivery requirements are met, and maintaining compliance with all legal requirements.

Day to Day of the role:

Manage and plan vehicles for import collections and export deliveries efficiently.
Communicate effectively with all departments regarding operational issues.
Ensure all legal compliances, including DVSA, WTD, and UK legislation, are adhered to.
Work collaboratively as part of the transport team.
Be flexible with working times and days as part of a shift operation.
Maintain clear and effective communication at all levels, dealing with both internal and external customers.
Uphold all processes and procedures.
Solve problems effectively and enjoy the challenge of a fast-paced environment.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

Clear communication skills, both written and verbal.
Experience with shared mailboxes.
Highly motivated with the ability to multitask.
IT generalist knowledge, with experience in Transport Management systems and proficiency in MS Office programs including Outlook, Excel, and Word.
Strong attention to detail, customer service, administration, and financial awareness.

Working early and late shifts Monday to Friday
