Student Achievement TutorLocation: BromleySalary: £28,000 - £29,000 per year (Temporary contract)Overview:We are seeking a dedicated and motivated Student Achievement Tutor to join our team on a full-time basis. The role involves providing academic support to students, focusing on improving their performance and achievement. This is a temporary position, offering a competitive salary and the chance to make a significant impact on student success.Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide one-to-one and group support to students, focusing on improving their academic performance and engagement.
  • Monitor and track students' progress, setting achievable goals and offering tailored support.
  • Assist in the development and delivery of personalised learning plans and interventions.
  • Provide guidance and support to students on time management, study skills, and exam preparation.
  • Collaborate with academic staff and other support services to ensure students receive holistic support.
  • Assist in the implementation of academic strategies to help students overcome challenges and achieve their potential.
  • Maintain accurate records of student progress and achievement, ensuring all data is kept up to date.
  • Provide pastoral support, offering advice and guidance on personal and academic matters as needed.
  • Contribute to the wider student development initiatives and activities within the institution.
Requirements:
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Experience in supporting students in an educational setting.
  • Ability to motivate and inspire students to achieve their goals.
  • Knowledge of educational strategies to support student learning and achievement.
  • Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
  • A proactive approach with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Ideally, experience in working with students with diverse learning needs.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage competing priorities.
  • MUST HAVE A DBS
Desirable Qualifications/Experience:
  • Previous experience in a student support or tutoring role.
  • Relevant qualifications in education or a related field.
  • Knowledge of student achievement tracking systems.
