We are seeking a dedicated and passionate SEND Teacher to join our newly established Designated Unit for students with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). This full-time, permanent position offers a competitive salary based on the Main Pay Scale (MPS) or Upper Pay Scale (UPS), plus a SEND allowance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver a multi-sensory curriculum tailored to the individual needs of students with ASD.
- Develop and implement personalized learning plans in collaboration with the multidisciplinary team.
- Foster an inclusive and supportive learning environment that promotes student engagement and progress.
- Monitor and assess student development, providing regular feedback to parents and carers.
- Contribute to the ongoing development and success of the Designated Unit.
Requirements:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
- Experience working with students with ASD, preferably within a special educational needs (SEN) setting.
- Strong understanding of the SEND Code of Practice and relevant legislation.
- Ability to differentiate the curriculum to meet diverse learning needs.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Commitment to professional development and continuous improvement.
