37.5 hours per week | Mon Fri | 09:00 to 17:30 | Hayes, London


You will play a significant role in leading a team of two Air Freight Forwarding Agents, overseeing end-to-end Air freight operations with a specialised focus on perishable goods logistics.

Your role as an Air Freight Team Leader:

  • Coordinate the movement of perishable goods within air freight, ensuring compliance with customer SOPs, temperature requirements, UK GDP regulations, and Customs Compliance
  • Manage and build customer relationships, liaise with carriers, handling agents, transport, warehouse teams, and overseas offices to resolve issues and ensure smooth shipment planning
  • Utilise the CargoWise system for shipment management, milestone tracking, and KPI measurement, ensuring accurate job file completion
  • Utilise your leadership skills to support team development, leading team briefings and conducting staff training when required


About you - you will have:

  • Previous Air Freight experience with knowledge of export operations
  • Proven experience as a supervisor or team leader, with the ability to lead a small team
  • Experience of HMRC procedures (knowledge of CDS)
  • An understanding of shipping within the perishable goods industry (desirable)
  • A high attention to detail with the ability to prioritise and efficiently manage workload
  • Experience in a fast-paced office environment with excellent customer relations skills
