  • Support processes, services and market conforming Grate to attract station and transhipment business through the gateways working in conjunction with the wider product team for Special Shipments and non-General Cargo products.
  • Preferred in depth knowledge of special products and develops new solutions and services proactively to drive business growth.
  • Support station/commercial teams with customer meetings and bespoke solution design.
  • Support positive change utilising First Choice methodologies.
  • Support to airfreight teams on processes and data management.
  • Proactively communicate UK outbound market updates to the airfreight/commercial teams.
Key Responsibilities  
  • Responsible for ‘Special shipments’ and non-General Cargo ‘special product’ procurement activities for the business. [Special shipment = 100skid shipments, milk powder, BWS; Special product = DG, OOG, Temp Control, Perishables, Cars]
  • Support market leading procurement through close partnership and negotiation with the carriers across the team for contracted tariff business and special spot business.
  • Manages allocations for regular ‘special’ movements e.g. Salmon bookings, Car bookings.
  • Works hand in hand with the CASP team and all station pricing teams on all ‘special’ quote enquiries.
  • Support and gathering of market leading special product tariffs are known by and communicated to the ACC team and works in close collaboration with the RFQ desk on all special product RFQs.
  • Sets up customer or quote specific Customer Grates and ensures filed into CW1.
  • Ensure customer Grates are profitable using data and tools to ensure consol profitability levels (under/over recovery), sick file kpi adherence and follows up on all CASS queries with the carrier to ensure correct billing.
  • Uses data to monitor carrier OTP and right first time billing and manages performance with the carriers.
  • Close liaison with the GSMs to ensure transition of planning from theoretical/data/commercials into physical execution and planning.
