Interim Human Resources Manager - West Cornwall - £30,000 - £40,000

Well Placed HR are delighted to have been exclusively engaged by a long established and highly successful services business who seek to recruit an experienced Human Resources Manager to join the company on an interim, full time contract. The duration of the assignment is likely to be circa 12 months and the role will be based at the company’s headquarters located on the NW Cornish coast.

The business already has an established people management function and it is hoped that the successful candidate will both maintain, develop and future proof HR policies & procedures, as well as mentoring a junior member of the people management function. Whilst the role works particularly closely with the senior management team, the HR Manager will form strong relationships with colleagues across the business; department managers, senior management and external stakeholders. Key responsibilities to include:

- Take a lead role in all areas of people management and employee relations: Skills development, employee engagement and relations, rewards and benefits strategy and succession planning

- Act as the go-to point of contact for all employee HR queries

- Oversee the group monthly payroll

- Assist department management with all aspects of employee relations

- Manage the company’s recruitment strategy via effective advertising campaigns and liaising with recruitment partners

- Ensure legal and compliant HR policies throughout the business

- Maintain and update all employee records and documentation

We’re looking for an experienced candidate, ideally CIPD qualified with significant previous HR experience. This is a pivotal appointment where the successful candidate will require experience in designing and implementing efficient HR policies & procedures, contracts of employment, and possess an up to date knowledge of UK employment law.

This role marks an excellent opportunity for an experienced HRM professional to bolster their CV with the completion of a long term contract.
