Accounts Payable Specialist

Location: Sayers Common, Sussex - office based

Contract Type: Temp to Perm or Permanent (depending on notice period)

About the Role:

We are representing a business undergoing a period of change and are seeking a resilient, hands-on Accounts Payable Specialist to join their team. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone experienced in accounts payable processes and familiar with navigating changes or system implementations. The role will play a key part in ensuring smooth operations during this transition.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Process accounts payable transactions efficiently and accurately.
  • Processing payment runs, credit cards and expenses
  • Supplier payment query resolution
  • Handle supplier queries and ensure prompt resolution of any issues.
  • Assist with month-end and year-end procedures related to accounts payable.
  • Support the implementation of new systems or changes to existing processes.
  • Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to drive efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Contribute to process improvement initiatives and provide feedback to enhance workflow.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in an accounts payable role.
  • Experience working in a company going through change or a system implementation is highly desirable.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to process high volumes of transactions.
  • Resilience and adaptability in dynamic, changing environments.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
