Air Customs Logistics Assistant (Office based Monday-Friday)

The roleResponsible for overseeing and managing all logistics operations, including the coordination of the supply chain and transportation. This role ensures that all logistical activities are carried out efficiently, safely, and in compliance with company procedures. Ensuring all goods are imported in accordance with HMRC regulations and ensuring an audit trail is in place for HMRC audits. 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate with Procurement and Operations teams to ensure timely delivery of required items and booking transportation considering commercial awareness and best price.
  • Raising PO’s for logistics ensuring pricing is recorded for efficient payment
  • Plan and oversee the transportation of goods, including international and domestic shipments.
  • Develop and implement logistics strategies to support the efficient movement of materials and parts.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with couriers.
  • Ensure all logistics activities comply with company procedures.
  • Ensuring all goods are imported and exported correctly IAW with HMRC regulations, controlling records and audit trail. Preparation and leading of HMRC Audits
  • Participating in regular customs compliance training to ensure the company is compliant at all times
