Are you a skilled Accounts Assistant or Bookkeeper with a sharp eye for accuracy?Looking to become part of a close-knit, supportive practice that values its team, encourages career development, and gives you the chance to collaborate with an energetic and capable group?Key Duties Include:
  • Oversee daily financial record-keeping and legal accounting tasks
  • Carry out reconciliations, process financial transactions, and manage online banking functions
  • Administer both Office and Client ledgers, banking duties, and cheque handling
  • Input financial data into the LEAP case management software
  • Provide assistance to colleagues and clients with finance-related enquiries
  • Handle card payments, prepare invoices and credit adjustments
  • Manage petty cash, ensure VAT compliance, and conduct 3-way reconciliations
  • Adhere to Solicitors Accounts Rules and Anti-Money Laundering legislation
  • Communicate with external accountants and prepare financial summaries
Ideal Candidate Will Have:
  • Proven experience in bookkeeping (preferably within a legal setting, though not required)
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Either experience with legal accounts or a willingness to receive training
  • Understanding of credit control procedures and regulatory compliance
  • Excellent organisational abilities and clear communication skills
