Client Bookkeeper - Full or Part Time

Are you an experienced Bookkeeper looking for a new opportunity? We have a fantastic opening for a Client Bookkeeper within a well established and reputable accountancy practice based in Haywards Heath, West Sussex. Join a dynamic team and contribute to a range of client bookkeeping duties, utilising various software including Xero, Quickbooks, Freeagent, and Clearbooks.

Role and Responsibilities:
  • Perform bookkeeping duties for a variety of clients
  • Assist clients with bookkeeping and software queries
  • Manage VAT Returns and liaise with clients to ensure timely completion
  • Complete bank reconciliations and prepare necessary schedules and reports
  • File VAT and CIS returns and ensure all client work is completed within set timescales
Requirements:
  • Demonstrable bookkeeping experience
  • Familiarity with cloud bookkeeping software, specifically Xero
  • Strong customer service skills and knowledge of VAT
  • Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and pay close attention to detail
  • Desire to be a proactive team member and ideally previous experience in an accountancy practice
