Customer Service Team Leader

The Role

Due to continued growth and ongoing expansion plans, an exciting opportunity has arisen for a Customer Service Team Leader to join a fantastic business in the pet insurance sector - specifically commercial insurances for pet related businesses. Working alongside the General Manager, this position will see you responsible for coaching and developing a team of agents and provide varied operational support to the business, it offers the opportunity to grow and develop as an individual in a growing business.

  • Supervise and lead the team to achieve operational targets and maintain high customer service standards.
  • Provide support in resolving queries, addressing technical issues, and overseeing overall quality assurance.
  • Monitor sales performance and assist the team in improving through personalised coaching and development plans.
  • Conduct regular one-to-one meetings to set objectives and manage performance.
  • Organise and manage team resources, ensuring alignment with business goals.
  • Lead team meetings and ensure effective communication within the team.
  • Participate in recruitment processes, training new team members, and addressing disciplinary matters.
  • Oversee and handle customer complaints, providing feedback to enhance business processes and products.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory guidelines.
  • Engage in continuous learning and participate in ad hoc projects as required.

Requirements

We would expect the successful Sales and Customer Service Team Leader to demonstrate experience in managing, coaching and developing a sales and/or customer service team, ideally within an insurance or FCA regulated environment (although those without insurance/FCA experience will be considered). You will thrive on getting the best out of your team, but also with a focus on continuous development of yourself and the business operations. You will be an excellent communicator with the confidence to take ownership of your role and bring fresh ideas to a growing and evolving business. This role would suit someone with experience working as a Team Leader or Supervisor in a call centre environment, but who maybe wants to move out of the "corporate" world into a smaller business. A love of animals is a must!

Package

Up to £40,000 depending on experience (Please note, to be eligible for the top end, demonstrated experience in Commercial Insurance Team Management is essential)
