The Requirements:

  • Minimum Level 5 CIPD qualification in HR.
  • Accreditation in psychometrics (desirable).
  • Proven HR business partnering experience with a strategic and tactical approach.
  • Strong stakeholder management, relationship-building, and influencing skills.
  • Excellent communication skills; confident and articulate in diverse settings.
  • In-depth knowledge of employment law, HR best practices, and current legislation.
  • Ability to analyse data to understand trends and inform leadership decisions.
  • Strong experience in organisational design and development.
  • Demonstrable leadership and coaching skills with the ability to drive change and improvement.
  • Experience in a healthcare, educational, or residential setting (desirable).
  • Ability to prioritise and manage a diverse workload independently and effectively.
  • Positive attitude towards diversity, inclusion, and the rights of young adults with complex needs.


The Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Partnering: Build strong relationships with stakeholders at all levels, both internally and externally, ensuring the effective delivery of the people plan.
  • Coaching & Advisory: Provide thought leadership, coaching, advice, and guidance to leaders and managers on HR policies, practices, and compliance with employment legislation.
  • Employee Lifecycle Management: Manage all stages of the employee lifecycle, from recruitment and onboarding to performance, probation, and exit processes.
  • Continuous Improvement: Lead and contribute to key HR projects aimed at improving employee experience and HR effectiveness.
  • Data & Reporting: Utilise HR systems and data to track trends, KPIs, and provide insights that inform leadership decisions and process improvements.
  • Policy Development: Contribute to the creation and review of HR policies and ensure they align with company culture and strategic goals.
  • Collaboration & Teamwork: Work closely with the People team, supporting HR colleagues and leaders to foster a high-performance culture.
  • Supplier & Compliance Management: Oversee relationships with external suppliers and ensure compliance with safeguarding, DBS checks, and other regulatory requirements.
  • Reward & Benefits: Contribute to the ongoing review and promotion of competitive and market-aligned reward and benefits packages.
  • Learning & Development: Support the design and delivery of learning interventions to enhance employee lifecycle management and leadership development.
