We are delighted to be partnered with our very professional and established accountancy client as they seek to recruit a Personal Tax Assistant Manager to join their experienced team within their offices in Haywards Heath. This is a superb opportunity to join a very established and reputable firm.

Personal Tax Assistant Manager - office based role. Working from home available on an ad-hoc basis.

Full time permanent role - Mon-Fri 0900-1730. There may be some flexibility on number of hours worked per day, role is full time but for the right person my client would consider someone who wanted 4 days per week, minimum 30 hours per week (on a pro rata salary basis)

Role based in Haywards Heath - easy walk from the station area.

Salary £35000-£40000 per annum, depending on experience plus excellent all round company benefits, including good pension scheme, yearly salary reviews, regular social events, 25 days holiday to start plus all UK bank holidays.

The role / duties - Personal Tax Assistant Manager

  • Assist Tax Manager in the management of tax compliance requirements for a portfolio of personal tax clients.
  • Managing a varied portfolio of personal tax clients to meet tight deadlines.
  • Regular liaison with clients and HMRC
  • Overseeing and reviewing work of other team members / trainees
  • Assisting in training and development of other team members / trainees
  • Preparation of Self-Assessment Tax Returns, Capital Gains Tax Property Returns

Experience, competencies and knowledge required:

Excellent attention to detail is essential

Minimum ATT qualified.

Commercially driven with an emphasis on providing a high level of customer service.

Solid personal tax experience gained in a personal tax role in an accountancy practice.

Experience in liaising with clients and managing a portfolio

Experience in managing and reviewing work of other staff members / trainees

Be computer literate, have excellent communication skill, work well under pressure and have the ability to work to tight deadlines.
