Key Responsibilities:
Manage purchase orders and follow up on their progress.
Maintain effective supplier relationships.
Ensure timely delivery of goods and services.
Evaluate vendor quotations and secure competitive pricing.
Review vendor order confirmations and resolve discrepancies.
Collaborate with stores to manage inventory levels.
Support the Sales Department with up-to-date pricing and lead times.
Conduct vendor assessments and audits.
Monitor vendor performance and provide feedback.
Maintain safety stock quantities and apply inventory management techniques.
Complete new vendor forms and adhere to health and safety guidelines.
Skills Required:
A minimum of 1 -2 year buying experience.
Strong communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills.
Excellent organisational and time management abilities.
Accuracy, reliability, and commitment to high standards.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
Proficiency in using IT packages and data analysis.
