We are currently recruiting for a SEN school in the Horsham area which cater for both primary and secondary aged pupils. The position is a great opportunity to grow your skillset and create positive change for young people whilst contributing towards a nurturing and therapeutic environment.

Day to Day of the role

  • Support teachers and work alongside other support staff and therapists to deliver a tailored curriculum.
  • Help prepare learning materials and facilitate classroom activities.
  • Address the emotional and physical needs of pupils, aiding their development and engagement.
  • Provide hands-on support and supervision, both indoors and outdoors, to pupils with complex Social Emotional Mental Health (SEMH) needs.
  • Contribute to the pupils’ learning journeys, guiding them to exceed their potential.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • GCSE C or above (or equivalent) in English and Maths.
  • Experience with SEN and working within a school environment.
  • Adaptability to work in various classroom roles and settings.
  • A caring and responsive approach to supporting pupils with complex needs.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team, sharing knowledge and learning.
