Academics is seeking a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant (TA) to join a special educational needs (SEN) school in East Grinstead. This is a rewarding opportunity to support children with additional needs and make a real difference in their learning and development.



Role Overview:

As an SEN TA, you will work closely with students who have a range of special educational needs, including ASD, ADHD, and other learning difficulties. You will be assigned to support up to three children, working in a 1:1 or 2:1 setting to help them achieve their full potential.



Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide 1:1 or 2:1 support to students, assisting with their academic, social, and emotional development.
  • Adapt learning materials and strategies to meet individual student needs.
  • Support classroom activities, ensuring a structured and engaging learning environment.
  • Implement positive behaviour management techniques and encourage student independence.
  • Work collaboratively with teachers, therapists, and other support staff to provide a holistic approach to learning.


What We're Looking For:

  • Experience working with children with SEN (preferred but not essential).
  • A patient, resilient, and nurturing approach.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • A full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle (the school is not easily accessible by public transport)
