We are looking for a dedicated and compassionate SEN Teacher to join our team and support students with Special Educational Needs (SEN). The successful candidate will play a crucial role in creating an inclusive and nurturing learning environment, ensuring that every child can reach their full potential.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Plan, deliver, and adapt lessons to meet the individual learning needs of students with SEN.
  • Use a range of teaching strategies and resources to support students with diverse needs, including ASD, ADHD, SLD, PMLD, and communication difficulties.
  • Develop and implement Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and work closely with the SENCO to ensure targeted support.
  • Create a safe, inclusive, and engaging learning environment that promotes independence and confidence.
  • Use effective differentiation and behavior management strategies to support students' engagement and progress.
Requirements:
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent (e.g., PGCE, SCITT).
  • Experience working with children with Special Educational Needs in a school or specialist setting.
  • Strong understanding of SEND strategies, including differentiation, behavior management, and communication techniques (e.g., PECS, Makaton).
Desirable:
  • Additional qualifications in SEND, Autism, Speech and Language, or Mental Health.
  • Experience working with EHCPs (Education, Health, and Care Plans).
  • Training in de-escalation techniques (e.g., Team Teach, MAPA).
