Job Title: Logistics Shipping Clerk and Warehouse Assistant

Location: Bolney , Haywards Heath ( own transport essential ) 

Salary: £11.44 per hour - £13.59 per hour

Job Type: Full-time temporary possible temporary - permanent 

Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8-hour shift (09:00-18:00)

Position Overview:

Responsibilities:

Logistics Shipping Clerk:

• Manage Proof of Delivery (POD) processes to ensure successful parcel delivery.
• Engage with clients and suppliers to facilitate smooth logistics operations.
• Optimise shipment processes to maximise company contributions while maintaining service levels and minimising costs.
• Regularly review working processes with carriers and transport companies to ensure best practices and competitive pricing.

Warehouse Duties:

• Oversee the movement of freight within one of the company’s three warehouses.
• Manage documentation related to product distribution, ensuring accurate system maintenance and information storage.
• Communicate effectively with customers and suppliers to uphold efficient distribution and storage processes.
• Assist with warehouse tasks, including lifting when required.

Key Skills and Qualifications:

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills are essential.
• Previous experience is not required; full training will be provided, including BIFA International Training courses.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Emails, and Excel is necessary. Full training will be provided for our in-house IT systems such as Metafour and SAP.
• GCSE or equivalent (preferred).
• Driving Licence (required).
