Position Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Quality Manager to oversee the quality management system (QMS) for our construction projects. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring that all construction work meets both company and regulatory standards, from the planning stages through to final completion. The Quality Manager will monitor processes, ensure compliance with quality standards, and work closely with construction teams, suppliers, and subcontractors to promote a culture of continuous improvement and excellence in construction quality.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Quality Assurance:
    • Develop, implement, and maintain the company's Quality Management System (QMS) in line with industry standards and regulations.
    • Monitor construction processes, materials, and workmanship to ensure compliance with project specifications and quality standards.
    • Conduct regular quality audits on ongoing and completed projects, ensuring conformance to contractual requirements, safety regulations, and environmental standards.
  2. Inspection and Testing:
    • Oversee inspections and testing of materials, components, and final construction works.
    • Identify non-conformities and manage corrective and preventive actions.
    • Ensure that quality control measures are effectively communicated to all relevant stakeholders, including project managers, engineers, and subcontractors.
  3. Training & Development:
    • Provide quality management training to staff, subcontractors, and suppliers to enhance their understanding of quality standards and expectations.
    • Foster a culture of continuous improvement by promoting best practices across all construction processes.
  4. Collaboration:
    • Work closely with project managers, engineers, and architects to ensure that quality requirements are embedded into project designs and schedules.
    • Coordinate with external inspectors, testing laboratories, and certification bodies to ensure compliance with relevant regulations and standards.
  5. Documentation and Reporting:
    • Maintain comprehensive records of inspections, audits, tests, and quality reports.
    • Prepare and submit quality control reports and ensure accurate documentation of any issues and resolutions.
    • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations in relation to quality practices.
  6. Problem-Solving & Issue Resolution:
    • Identify quality issues at any stage of the construction process and work with teams to resolve problems in a timely manner.
    • Investigate complaints related to construction quality and implement corrective actions to improve standards.
  7. Compliance and Regulations:
    • Stay up to date with relevant building codes, regulations, and industry standards.
    • Ensure that all projects comply with local, national, and international construction quality standards, including ISO standards if applicable.
