We are looking for a meticulous and proactive Accounts Assistant to join a highly successful company in Heanor. The ideal candidate will be instrumental in managing financial records and supporting the organisation's overall financial operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Accurately maintain financial records and documentation for all transactions
- Input data and generate reports using Sage 50 accounting software
- Identify and resolve discrepancies in financial statements promptly
- Payment runs to the bank, balance sheet reconciliation and bank reconciliation
- Assist with month-end close processes
- Prepare detailed reports for management
- Collaborate with various departments to support seamless financial operations
Requirements:
- Proven experience in an accounts assistant or similar role is preferred
- Proficiency in Sage accounting software is desirable
- Strong understanding of accounts payable processes and financial record-keeping practices
- Competence in Microsoft Excel
- Exceptional attention to detail and analytical skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively interact with colleagues and management
