This vacancy is for our MBP Door Solutions East Midlands branch based in Heanor - Derbyshire

Primary objectives of this position:
  • Tosupport business's operations and implement strategies developed by the general manager, acting as a liaison between senior management and staff to optimise business performance and oversee daily functions.
  • To oversee employees, ensuring that operations run smoothly.
  • To deputise in the absence of the general manager.

Reporting to: General Manager

Number of reports: 4 direct. 10+ indirect.

Salary: £29,000-£31,000 k (depending on experience/qualifications)

Location:Heanor-Derby.You may be required to travel to other sites across the UK on an ad-hoc basis

Contracted Hours: 40 hours per week (Must be flexible to meet demands of the position)

Contract Term:Permanent

Environment: Demanding rapid response manufacturing/assembly

Key responsibilities and performance measures for this role:

Assisting the General Manager in directing daily business operations. Learn and master all aspects of the business. Will include assisting line managers

Must be able to competently perform duties in the absence of the General Manager

Must be able to motivate and positively influence staff, especially during times of low morale

Must have strong leadership and organisational skills

Jointly oversee, direct and assist line managers in the business

Implement quality and productivity objectives

Ensure that all employees follow the company standards to achieve company goals

Work alongside with General Manager in recruiting, training, performance evaluation

Develop positive working relationship with line managers to ensure effective operational support

Support line managers, including assistance with recruitment and training and keep line mangers updated on team performance

.and any other duties required to support the achievement of the Companys objectives

Minimum Qualifications / Experience required:

Manufacturing & Assembly operation experience

Lean Manufacturing methodologies and implementation experience

Excellent fault finding skills

Strong people management experience

Key behavioural competencies:

Detailed and methodical

Practical, hands on approach

Capable of interacting with staff at all levels

Confident and accurate decision maker

Calm, clear thinker even when under pressure

Awareness of manufacturing pressures

Additional skill requirements:

Excellent administration skills

Strong IT skills, including experience with Excel and other MS packages

Experience of SAGE 50 (preferred)

License/Certifications:

Driving Licence (preferred)
