£15.00 PAYE PER HOUR

People Solutions are looking for a Class 1 Driver for our client based in Ilkeston.

Day to Day Duties

Your duties as a Class 1 Driver will involve but not be limited to:-

• Need to be able to strap your load up safely to ensure the load doesn't shift in transit
• Operate and drive various Class 1 vehicles in a safe and efficient manner to and from delivery locations
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections
• Adhere to traffic laws and regulations
• Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers
• Maintain accurate records of shipment, mileage, and fuel consumption
• Report any vehicle defects or maintenance needs to management

Essential Skills

As a Class 1 Driver you will need to:

• Hold a valid UK CE Licence (CLASS 1)
• Hold a valid UK CPC Card & UK Digi Card
• Have a minimum of two years' experience driving CE vehicles
• No more than six penalty points and no major endorsement codes
• Must be able to speak and read a good level of English
• Punctuality and excellent time keeping skills
• Effective communication skills
• Flexibility and availability to work overtime as and when required
• Ability to work under pressure and adhere to deadlines
