HGV Class 1 Driver - Days

HGV Class 1 Driver - Heanor depot 

£19 per hour / £41,000 salary / overtime available 

Working on behalf of our client, a specialist business which provides services to maintain, sell and hire out their electrical products, is looking for an HGV Class 1 Driver with HIAB to work day shifts out of their Heanor depot.

The company is experiencing a rapid period of growth, and this is an urgent opportunity for someone who loves driving and wants to be part of this moment.  

The shift is 4 on - 4 off, working days between 5 and 7, i.e. 5am to 5pm, 6am to 6pm, or 7am to 7pm. 

The role will include:

• Driving an HGV Class 1 for 12-hour shifts. 
• Using a lorry loader/HIAB to deliver generators to sites.
• Delivering and collecting company equipment in multiple areas.
• Maintain driver hours, tachograph and proper records are kept.
• Complete checks on company trucks and trailers.
• General parts collections from suppliers when necessary.
• Ensure load is correctly secured using restraints.
• Operating vehicles within speed limits.
• Accurate recording keeping using the company’s bespoke management system.

You will have the following experience/qualifications:

• Essential - HIAB licence with use/experience.
• ADR would be advantageous but not essential as training can be given. 
• You must have a valid, in-date driver qualification card, along with in-date driver CPC.
• Professional levels of customer service for telephone and face-to-face.
