I'm looking for a dedicated Site Supervisor to join a dynamic team and be part of installation projects involving structural steel and heavy construction.
This role is based in Heanor, Derbyshire, and involves travel and occasional stays away from home. The position offers a competitive salary of £40,000 per year based on a 37.5-hour week, along with generous overtime and exceptional benefits.
The Day-to-Day
- Oversee site installation phases of projects, and coordinating site personnel, customers, suppliers, subcontractors, etc.
- Be the main point of contact for customers, suppliers, and subcontractors regarding installation plans and progress.
- Liaise at site level with clients and other stakeholders to agree on actions.
- Monitor and ensure compliance with company procedures and work instructions, to achieve plan.
- Report progress or any delays directly to the Project Manager and assist or complete the Project Daily Diary of events.
- Oversee the installation, testing, and commissioning of all mechanical equipment.
- Supervise, guide and advise the site installations team.
- Prepare compliant Method Statements, Risk Assessments, Crane plans, and Health Safety & Environmental documents.
- Carry out pre-site visits, site audits, surveys, inspections, and meetings to plan the installation aspects of all projects.
- Maintain the accurate required information and documentation, as well as monitoring materials and Sub-Contractor workmanship to specifications.
Skills & Qualifications:
You’re obviously going to need a few things in your locker for this Site Supervisor role, in order to meet the needs of the position.
- Proven experience as a Site Supervisor or similar role, preferably in a related industry (construction and erection of structural steel).
- Strong understanding of mechanical equipment installation, testing, and commissioning.
- Solid experience of current Health and Safety regulations and legislation and the ability to create Method Statements and Risk Assessments.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with strong organisational skills to manage multiple tasks and to liaise with clients and stakeholders.
- Willingness to travel and occasionally stay away from home as required by the project demands. Â
- A full UK driving licence
