- A Bachelor's degree in International Trade, Business Administration, or a related field (professional export compliance qualifications preferred)
- Minimum 3 years in import/export compliance or a related field, with strong knowledge of UK trade laws and international regulations
- Excellent attention to detail, analytical skills, and the ability to work independently
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Experience with import/export compliance software and tools is a plus
- Ensure import & export activities comply with UK laws, international regulations, and company policies
- Prepare and review export and import documentation, including licenses, shipping documents, and customs declarations
- Conduct audits to identify and mitigate compliance risks
- Collaborate with logistics, sales, procurement, and finance teams to provide guidance on compliance matters
- Educate staff on import & export regulations and best practices
- Identify potential compliance risks and develop mitigation strategies
- Act as a key point of contact for regulatory authorities, customers, suppliers, and customs agents
- Maintain accurate records of import & export transactions and compliance activities
