The work schedule is hybrid after the probation period, with hours from 8:30 am to 5:00 pm Monday to Thursday and 8:30 am to 3:45 pm on Fridays.

A Bachelor's degree in International Trade, Business Administration, or a related field (professional export compliance qualifications preferred)
Minimum 3 years in import/export compliance or a related field, with strong knowledge of UK trade laws and international regulations
Excellent attention to detail, analytical skills, and the ability to work independently
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Experience with import/export compliance software and tools is a plus

The finer elements of the role include:

Ensure import & export activities comply with UK laws, international regulations, and company policies
Prepare and review export and import documentation, including licenses, shipping documents, and customs declarations
Conduct audits to identify and mitigate compliance risks
Collaborate with logistics, sales, procurement, and finance teams to provide guidance on compliance matters
Educate staff on import & export regulations and best practices
Identify potential compliance risks and develop mitigation strategies
Act as a key point of contact for regulatory authorities, customers, suppliers, and customs agents
Maintain accurate records of import & export transactions and compliance activities
