Our client, a successful manufacturing business, is seeking a Mechanical Maintenance Engineer to perform planned and reactive maintenance activities at their manufacturing plant near Heanor.
The role involves mechanical fault finding and repair of CNC machines, overhead cranes, and other equipment, as well as welding fabrication and toolroom work.
Candidates should have previous maintenance engineer experience in a manufacturing environment, with machine tool fitting or CNC machine maintenance experience being advantageous.
A recognized qualification in mechanical engineering, such as NVQ3 or HNC, is preferred, but time-served engineers will also be considered.
The position offers a competitive basic salary of £41K, with the potential to earn up to £50K including overtime, along with benefits such as 33 days of annual leave, sick pay, and a pension.

Our client is a very successful manufacturing business and Staffbase have been appointed to recruit for the position of Mechanical Maintenance Engineer.

The Mechanical Maintenance Engineer will undertake planned and reactive maintenance activities at our client's busy manufacturing plant near Heanor.

The Role:

Reporting to the engineering supervisor you will be responsible for the planned and reactive mechanical maintenance activities at a busy factory and machine shop.

Duties will include but is not limited to;

Mechanical fault find and repair of CNC machines, overhead cranes, welding equipment and more
Gearboxes, bearings, shafts, etc etc
Hydraulics, pneumatics,
Motors, pumps, valves etc etc
Welding fabrication and toolroom work
Some facilities maintenance
PPM's

Candidate:

The successful candidate will have previous maintenance engineer experience ideally in a manufacturing environment.

Applicants with previous experience in machine tool fitting / CNC machine maintenance experience will be advantageous.

We are seeking applicants who have a recognised qualification in mechanical engineering e.g. NVQ3, HNC, etc etc. However applicants who are time served engineers will be considered.

Hours of work:

Monday to Thursday 8am -4.30pm Friday 8am - 12.30pm
Overtime available
