Diesel Workshop Engineer (Generators)
WB Power Services is currently recruiting for a Diesel Workshop Engineer to join our team at our Head Office in Heanor, Derbyshire. This role is an exciting opportunity to become part of a rapidly growing business. The Role:
- Service, repair, and maintain diesel generators and components
- Strip down and rebuild diesel engines and generator parts
- Diagnose and rectify faults
- Provide support to colleagues on the road when required (company vehicle provided)
- Troubleshoot generator issues
- Follow company Health & Safety, environmental, and quality management systems
- Keep accurate records using our bespoke management system
- Work closely with internal teams to ensure jobs are on time and within budget
The Person:
- Experience with diesel generators or HGV servicing
- Qualified to NVQ Level 3 or 5 years' relevant experience with generators from 20kVA upwards
- Workshop engineering experience is desirable
- Familiarity with electronics and mechanical components, including engines and alternators
- Ability to understand and complete risk assessments
- Able to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines
- A valid UK driving licence is advantageous
