Diesel Workshop Engineer (Generators)

WB Power Services is currently recruiting for a Diesel Workshop Engineer to join our team at our Head Office in Heanor, Derbyshire. This role is an exciting opportunity to become part of a rapidly growing business. Were seeking a driven and motivated Diesel Workshop Engineer to support our team and help us maintain our high standards during this period of expansion.

The Role:

  • Service, repair, and maintain diesel generators and components
  • Strip down and rebuild diesel engines and generator parts
  • Diagnose and rectify faults
  • Provide support to colleagues on the road when required (company vehicle provided)
  • Troubleshoot generator issues
  • Follow company Health & Safety, environmental, and quality management systems
  • Keep accurate records using our bespoke management system
  • Work closely with internal teams to ensure jobs are on time and within budget

The Person:

  • Experience with diesel generators or HGV servicing
  • Qualified to NVQ Level 3 or 5 years' relevant experience with generators from 20kVA upwards
  • Workshop engineering experience is desirable
  • Familiarity with electronics and mechanical components, including engines and alternators
  • Ability to understand and complete risk assessments
  • Able to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines
  • A valid UK driving licence is advantageous
